Hatred and Rage

Actions fueled by hatred and rage are often

Reactionary, Irrational, and Unconscionable,

        (Rather than Measured, Well thought-out, and Reasonable)

Unwise, Illogical, and Incendiary

                                (Rather than Sensible, Prudent, and Peace-loving)

Such actions result in Destructive Devastation

                                (Rather than accomplishing anything of good and lasting value.)

We see this happening all across our Nation –

Hatred that has escalated almost past the point of no return,

Hatred that has totally eclipsed common sense.

Evil is glorified, permitted, applauded, and often rewarded,

         While righteousness is vilified, reviled, and persecuted.

What we see and hear today can almost bring even the most stalwart to despair.

BUT I am thankful that God can redeem even the most seemingly irredeemable situation and turn it around to accomplish His purposes.

We must PRAY.

·        Pray that the refreshing Water of the Word will douse the hot rage inflaming hearts and minds.

·        Pray that repentance drives us to our knees in humble confession of sin.

·        Pray that truth will win over lies and deception.

·        Pray that that blinders will come off disbelieving eyes.

·        Pray that more Clergy will boldly proclaim the Gospel unashamedly – instead of bowing to the pressure of political correctness and intimidation.

·        Pray that faith will triumph over the fear now gripping hearts and minds.

·        Pray that believers across this great Nation will be able to “stand firm against the schemes of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11).

·        Pray that those who claim the name “Christian” will stand for Biblical principles and not kowtow to what they know is wrong.

·        Pray that America gives God His rightful place in our hearts, our homes, and our Nation once again!

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves,

and pray, and seek my face,and turn from their wicked ways;

then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,

                                           and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Take heart, dear friend, God is still on the throne. As we are reminded in this old hymn written by Martin Luther, despite what the Evil one throws at us, God never fails. His truth will triumph and His kingdom is forever.

A Mighty Fortress is Our God

A mighty Fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;

Our Helper He amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:

For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;

His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate,

On earth is not his equal.

Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing;

Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God’s own choosing:

Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;

Lord Sabaoth His Name, from age to age the same,

And He must win the battle.

And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,

We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:

The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;

His rage we can endure, for lo! his doom is sure,

One little word shall fell him.

That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;

The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him who with us sideth:

Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;

The body they may kill: God’s truth abideth still,

His Kingdom is forever.

 Blessings,
 Ruth
